New Sun Sauna table model – Wave

Product development and the constant creation of new products is important in the construction and interior design sector. The wide range of interior design styles makes us wonder what new products would be suitable for the sauna area. We hope to get as much feedback as possible from you, our valued customers, this year. Developing new things together and responding to your wishes is also one of the main reasons why this blog is written. The Sun Sauna collection has already gained one new member this year, now is a good time to tell you more!

So the new member of our range is called Wave. It combines the rounded design language of our Classic boards with the stiff, wide board widths of our Relax model. The front edges of the upper and lower board are curved, and the boards of the seat part of the board run longitudinally.

The model is designed by Marko Harju. Marko applied for design protection for the spa model in 2009 and brought the model to Sun Sauna’s product range.

After admiring the 3D images of the model, as well as images of earlier reference objects, I became interested in the story behind the innovation itself, i.e. where it all started! “In 2005, I noticed that the use of wide panels in saunas and bathrooms was becoming increasingly popular. In 2005, when I started to see that the shape of the sauna ceiling was becoming more and more popular, I started to see that the shape of the sauna ceiling should also change to a wider dimension. The first sites to which the design, originally named Peaceful Wave, was delivered were the demanding sites in Levi and the capital region, where architects were offered a different option for the sauna interior during the design phase. Before the first actual deliveries, laude was used for test runs between 2006 and 2008 in a sauna owned by a woodworking professional.

The width of the boards is 140 mm on the Wave board and the standard depth of the seating board is 610 mm. Laude is suitable for all sizes of sauna rooms.
