The sauna is the heart of the Finnish home, a place to relax...
Read moreIn stock now is a long sought after, sought after and carefully selected white Haapa panel. The light, knotless aspen panel will bring lightness and a fresh Scandinavian look to your sauna. With this panel, even small spaces can be transformed into a fresh and bright whole. Aspen is a valued traditional building material for the sauna.
The panel is sold as wood, so you can tint it with sauna wax or panel protector to the shade you like. Of the tintable panels, a light aspen panel is the preferred choice. When it is light, the wood’s own colour does not show through and the tinting process gives it just the right, desired shade. Whether you want it white, charcoal black or coil grey, this panel will do the trick. The tinting material should be chosen so that the beautiful, delicate wound pattern is not hidden and the wood does not look painted (sample photos). After cutting, the tinted panel will have a neat finish, because the cut ends do not need to be tinted twice, but the tint is even throughout. It is advisable to treat the panels with dark tint before installation, at least on the male end, to avoid re-treatment of the panel seams. When tinting the pontoons, care should be taken not to leave too much tinting agent on the pontoons, as this will make them more difficult to install.
Photo 1. The charcoal black panel shade gives the sauna a smoke sauna-like, mystical atmosphere. When using dark shades, it is good to ensure adequate lighting.
Photo 2. The grey chalice panel evokes a beautifully sun-bleached wooden surface, a summer pier or an old fence wall.
Photo 3. White panel is a stylish choice for new modern saunas. The white surface, tinted with sauna wax, has an elegant silky finish.
Photo 4. A natural white aspen tree is beautiful even when untinted. The delicate, vivid scab pattern remains beautifully visible and enlivens the surface of the panel.
The width of the light aspen panel is 120 mm. A panel of this width will stay on the wall without splintering with a normal concealed nail. We recommend the use of stainless steel or acid-proof nails, so that the nail heads do not discolour the beautiful light-coloured surface of the panel. Panel stock lengths are 1600, 1800, 2100 and 2400 mm.
