The fibre light is a versatile luminaire for sauna rooms. The light source can be mounted on the ceiling, on the ceiling tiles or even on a fixed water source mounted on the tiles. Fibre optic lights have become increasingly popular for sauna lighting and certainly one of the secrets of their popularity is the ease of installation and durability. Sun Sauna’s video series will help even a first-time user to install a fibre-optic sauna light kit.
The roof fibres are installed in the ventilation field or behind the vapour barrier.
The board fibres for the backrests can be installed either as surface tension on top of the panel or behind the panel. If necessary, a fibre groove is always milled into the Sun Sauna decking.
The idea behind fibre lights is that the fibre bundles and the projector that feeds light into the fibres are not visible in the sauna.
Drill holes in the backrests for the fibres using the drill bit supplied with the lamp. Use a carpet knife to cut off the excess fibres, as you would with the seat cushions.
